Darklight & NPAS present ‘Make a Movie Summer Camp’
We’ve teamed up with the National Performance Arts School to present ‘Make a Movie’ Summer Camp for 10 – 18 years olds in August.
Make a Movie Summer Camp is a Creative Workshop where students aged 10 to 18 years learn all about the art of Film Making, Multimedia and Performance. Alongside Acting For Camera, they will also learn what it is to Direct a Film, Skills in Camera Operation, the Editing Process, Animation, Scriptwriting, Creating and Using Special Effects and lots more. Whilst boosting creativity and confidence we will be emphasizing the power of Team Work and Social Skills as the Students get to write, cast, produce and Star in their own Movie.
The Movie will then be Premiered during this year’s Darklight Festival as part of the Young Peoples Programme.
The National Performing Arts School is Ireland’s Number 1 Dance, Drama and Singing School. The School has been based at The Factory on Barrow Street for almost 20 years. The Make a Movie Course Summer Camp is running for from the 20 – 24 of August, 10am to 3pm each day. Cost for the 5 Day course and Admission to the Movie Screening at The Darklight Festival is €99.
