Darklight’s 2012 Tour is a national tour celebrating the best of Irish animation, DIY and artist filmmaking, celebrating local filmmakers and national talents. We will be hosting exciting day-long events across the country for filmmakers and film lovers alike.

In Kilkenny we are teaming up with local heroes Cartoon Saloon to present a day & evening event celebrating the best of local and national filmmaking talents. Whether you’re a filmmaker or animator, aspiring or graduate, you can look forward to…

• Filmmaking workshops, panel discussions, and ‘Show and Tell’ discussions of the ins and outs of film production.
• Local filmmakers, Animators, along side National and International guests including Nicky Murphy from Moone Boy.
• Screenings of work from Kilkenny and across Ireland curated by Cartoon Saloon and the Darklight Festival.
• A very special party to round out the day with New Jackson.
