Katie Holly
Where does one begin with Katie Holly? She began her career at Treasure Entertainment in 2001 where she worked on films such as Man About Dog, The Mighty Celt and Shrooms. After leaving Treasure, she became Managing Director of Bl!nder Films. Katie has recently produced two new features, SENSATION and COME ON EILEEN. Both films premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh in July 2010 so keep your eyes peeled for them and watch at your earliest opportunity.

If you’re excited, concerned or just plain interested in what the future holds for indie filmmaking, then come along to our future-focused industry day.
In association with the Irish Film Board, Official Festival Industry Partner, we’re presenting a day-long symposium that will explore the potential of digital networks as a creative tool for storytelling, as well as a means to reach audiences and finance and distribute films.An assortment of international guests representing various fund-raising models, distribution platforms, crowd sourcing collectives and individual projects are guaranteed to inspire Irish filmmakers, whether newly emerging or already established.
Darklight Transmedia Symposium 2010

Official Festival Industry Partner Irish Film Board/Bord Scannan na hEireann, producer Katie Holly and festival director Nicky Gogan put their heads together to programme a day of information, discussion, workshops and advice open to all aspiring and practicing creative folk.
This is a day-long event that will explore the potential of digital and analogue networks as a creative tool for storytelling, as well as a means to reach audiences and finance and distribute films. Our esteemed international and Irish guests will discuss all aspects of Transmedia production.
Topics on the agenda include fund-raising models, distribution platforms and crowd-sourcing collectives, and we’ll also be looking at what it means to write, direct and produce projects destined for the big screen, the small screen, the internet, apps, graphic novels, live performance and immersive experiences.
