Straylight is the visual art strand of the Darklight Film Festival.

For this year’s Straylight programme, artist Amanda Coogan and Straylight coordinator Niamh Murphy are hosting a weekend-long series of workshops and performance saloons for artists with an interest in creating work for performance. The workshops will explore the creation of both sequential and durational performance, and will culminate nightly in a live event open to the general public. The Darklight Performance Weekender takes place from at the Dublin Art Mill, off Frances Street, from Friday 9th – Sunday 11th October forthcoming: participation is free, and places are extremely limited. This is a unique opportunity to work with one of the country’s most acclaimed artists; the event is open to both emerging and established talent.

If you’re interested in participating in the Darklight Performance Weekender, or require further information, contact Niamh Murphy via nevostik76(at)gmail.com by 31st August 2009.
