Darklight Touring Programme 2008

Darklight is Ireland’s foremost showcase for cutting-edge art, film and technology. Since its inception in 1999, Darklight has brought exciting new work to audiences via its annual festival, in addition to hosting occasional one-off events and an international touring programme. This year’s Darklight Touring Programme proudly presents a choice selection of highlights from the 2008 Darklight Festival. Selections on offer include:

26/06/08 – Dublin: The Movie (48 minutes)
In a rare and potentially fatal feat of cinematic daring, this film was shot entirely between 12.01am to 11.59pm on Thursday, June 26th 2008. 30 filmmaking teams or individuals made the movies composing this film; the participants featured a selection of the finest young artistic talent in Ireland today. Director Lenny Abrahamson (Garage, Adam & Paul) curated the film and remixed the edit in 4 days.
